Best small drones
The best way to learn to fly a drone
The absolute best way to learn how to FLY a drone, in my opinion , is to buy yourself a mini drone and learn to fly one. They aren't easy to fly but that is the point really.
DJI drones are brilliant but they are simple to fly and don't need a great deal of skill o fly but if you crash, they are expensive to replace, so you are less likely to want to learn using one of these, even if you do have drone insurance.
This page follows on from my Friday Quickie Drone Tip video.
The page shows you some of the cheap drones that I have owned and why they are good. The links on this page are affiliate links, which means that I will get a small percentage if you do buy the drone. This helps me continue to run and build this website.
Mini Drone with FPV
This is a similar drone to in the video, you can fly it with and without the FPV headset.... I would recommend without the headset first, as it it MUCH more difficult with the headset.
This drone is stable and a great drone to learn (Not easy, but that's the point!) with but then also has the advantage for the First Person View (FPV) headset, which allows you to see what the drone sees.
I love flying mine around the house on rainy or windy days.
Hubsan X4
This is actually my personal favourite mini-drone. It even has a camera but don't expect much of the photos and video.
I have flown these inside and outside and they are brilliant when learning to fly (Buy a few batteries!).
Don't get me wrong, they aren't EASY to fly but if you can fly this then you're easily be able to handle any of the bigger GPS drones.
