The landslide caused a dramatic collapse, with parts of the Holbeck Hall Hotel falling into the sea. Today, only remnants of the hotel remain, serving as a reminder of the area's fascinating, and sometimes dramatic, history.

A short walk north along the promenade from the rocky southern section brings you to a different kind of seaside attraction – The Scarborough Spa.
